Cawley Middle School track and field team sets records

HOOKSETT – The Cawley Middle School track and field team had an amazing 2024 season! 

Congratulations to the boys team for taking first place at the D.2 championship meet at Bow and capturing their first ever track school banner.  

Congratulations to the girls for an impressive performance finishing a close second and Tri-County runners up!

Top performers/medal winners at the D.2 Championship track meet: 

Boys: First in 4x100 relay (Evan Schottler, Nathan Canavan, Gage Dion, Winston George), first in 4x400 relay (Jacob Timpe, Ethan Lajewski, Xander Welch, Caleb Arroyo). Caleb A. first in 400, Xander W first in 800, Winston G. first in 100, 200 and shot put, Gage D. second in 100 and discus and third in long jump, Evan S third in high jump and Gavin Shea third in 800.  

Girls: Second in 4x400 relay (Alix Daigle, Ella Kubat, Emma Kubat, Cara Mahn), Cara M first in hurdles, long jump and 200, Emma K first in 400, Ella K second in 1600, Hannah Russell second in shot put and Riley Desruisseaux second in high jump.

Meet of Champions:  Congrats to the 13 athletes who represented Cawley at the Meet of Champions. Top performers of the state meet were: girls 4x400 relay second place, Emma K second in 800, Cara M fourth in long jump, Hannah fifth in shot put, Xander W fifth in 800, Caleb A fourth in 400, Gage third in discus and 100. 

Boys 4x100 relay first and new state record (47.36), Winston first in 100 and new state record (11.3) first in 200 and new state record (23.4) and congratulations to Winston George for being named the New Hampshire Middle School Meet of Champions Most Outstanding Male Athlete.

New school records: Boys: 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay, Winston G in 100, 200 and shot put, Gage D in long jump, Caleb A in 400, Xander W in 800 and Evan S in high jump.  Girls: 4x400 relay, Cara M in long jump and 200, Emma K in 400 and 800 and Ella K in the 1600.
