Chamber Celebrates Local Leaders at Annual Gala

The Hooksett Chamber of Commerce gathered in style on Thursday, October 2, for its Annual Meeting and Gala, held in the Pappas Room at Manchester’s Puritan Restaurant. This year’s event, led by a fresh slate of directors, introduced an exciting new highlight: the Business Leader of the Year Award, created to recognize outstanding leadership and community impact by a Hooksett business.

The nominees included some of Hooksett’s most dedicated entrepreneurs:

Tim and Jess Robie of The Robie Country Store

Barry Cogan of Re/MAX Synergy

Helena Mills of All Seasons Resale Shop

Steve L’abbe of Paradigm Plumbing and Heating

While each nominee received a special recognition award, the top honor of Greater Hooksett Business Leader of the Year went to Tim and Jess Robie of The Robie Country Store. Tim accepted the award alongside his son Oren and his father Lee, making the moment a true family affair.

The recognition is well deserved. Robie has been a driving force in revitalizing the Hooksett Village area, most notably by personally building all 52 flower boxes now brightening the Lilac Walking Bridge—a project spearheaded by the Light Up The Village Committee. Beyond beautification efforts, the store also serves as a gathering space for community groups such as the Hooksett Heritage Commission and the Light Up The Village committee. Known for his warm conversations and commitment to local, healthy foods, Robie continues to make the store a place where neighbors connect.

The evening wasn’t all formalities. Guests enjoyed a lively Hooksett history trivia game, hosted by Chamber board members Monica Labonville and Lisa Lally. Sweet treats from Jacques Pastries in Suncook and music from local resident William Gorbel capped off a festive night celebrating business, community, and connection.
