Born and raised in New Hampshire, I returned to New Hampshire, after several years of practicing law in Washington, DC, to raise the daughter I adopted and practice here instead. I am an incumbent running for reelection to the Budget Committee after serving one term, two years of which were spent as Chair. I attended Yale University and Boston University School of Law. My law practice is focused mainly on small businesses and estate and Medicaid Planning.
I served several years on the Board of Directors of the NH Chapter of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, where I was assigned to assist the Board on advising it of relevant issues that arose in the State Legislature. I also have experience serving on the Boards of several nonprofit organizations, so the combination of these experiences enhanced and informed my work on budget matters in my first term and will continue to do so if I am reelected.
My experiences raising my daughter as a single mother help me understand the economic pressures of the citizens of Hooksett. The work I do with Seniors in my law practice also makes me very aware of the economic pressures they face.
I am a candidate only for the Budget Committee because I believe that my areas of expertise make me particularly well suited to support Hooksett residents in this role and because of the importance I place on the Budget Committee’s role.
The critical nature of this work deserves dedication to and focus on its responsibilities. I hope you will give me the opportunity to continue serving the town of Hooksett in this manner.
