George Harrington and his wife have been Hooksett residents for 45 years.
George has a Master of Public Administration, from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He carried specializations in Fiscal and Urban Administrations. While in Columbus he worked as a Budget Analyst Intern for Ohio Department of Transportation. Reviewing “Equipment Request” that would be submitted to the legislature for the Biennium Budget cycle.
Relevant positions held include Regional Housing Specialist; Executive Director of a Public Housing Authority; Director of Housing Development for Southern New England; and Multifamily and Special Projects Manager for a large home builder. His skill set expanded in the 21st century to Network Management and Senior Systems Administration.
Budget preparations and analyses were regularly completed to support Housing Development, Construction and Management of multiple projects. Successes in these areas relied on the ability to get necessary funding from the Federal Government and/or other Financial Lending sources. The feasibility and viability of properties had to be assured through the balance of income and expenses. Fiscal responsibility was always maintained.
He hopes to be able to make use of his skills in the Town of Hooksett’s Budgeting process.
